About
Hi, I’m LaToscha.
LaToscha Sherman, MS, LPC, is a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of The LAB Wellness Group PLLC. She provides virtual therapy to adults located throughout Texas and works with concerns including adult ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, stress, and life transitions.
I built The LAB for the people nobody thinks to check on. The competent ones. The one everybody calls when something goes wrong. If you've spent years being impressive and tired at the same time, you're in the right place.
How I actually work
I'm practical and psychoeducational, which is a formal way of saying: I explain things. If we find out your brain runs on an ADHD operating system, I'm going to teach you how that system works before I ever hand you a strategy for it. Insight is good. Insight you can use on a Tuesday afternoon is better.
Sessions are collaborative and direct. I'll ask real questions, I'll tell you what I'm noticing, and I'll occasionally be funny about hard things, because you're a whole person and this is your hour. What I won't do is let you talk for a year and leave with nothing to stand on.
Learn. Apply. Become.
Those three words are the practice, in order. Learn what's actually happening in your brain and your life — the honest version, not the one you've been managing around. Apply it in real time, with tools that survive contact with your actual week. Become the version of you that isn't running on fumes and apology. That's the whole model, and it's why the practice is called The LAB.
What I focus on
- Adult ADHD, including late and missed diagnoses
- Anxiety, chronic stress, and burnout in adults who keep performing anyway
- Depressive symptoms and difficult life transitions
- Trauma-informed care for adults
- High-achieving women who are the strong one for everyone
- Helping professionals — counselors, nurses, educators, ministry leaders, social workers
Who tends to do well with me
People who want to understand the mechanism, not just vent about it. People who are tired of being told to try a planner, drink water, and set better boundaries. People who can handle a clinician saying “here's what I think is going on” out loud. If you want gentle open-ended reflection with no direction, I'm probably not your best match — and I'll tell you that kindly on the consult call.
The background, briefly
Before private practice I was an Associate Dean of Counseling Services, leading a team of 13+ clinicians serving 48,000 students. That means two things for you: I've heard nearly everything, and I know the difference between therapy that sounds good and therapy that works. It's also why I still build workshops and staff training for schools, colleges, employers, and faith communities.
